Carl Lufate Wood

Carl Lufate Wood, 62, Salem, South Carolina passed from this life on Tuesday the 12th of September, 2017 at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, South Carolina. Carl was born on the 12th of April in 1955 in Seneca, South Carolina to his parents, Walter Lufate Wood and Bertha Louise (Dills) Wood. Carl had been a lifelong resident of Oconee County and he worked as a Doffer in the Textile Industry.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents and his three sisters, Mildred Lee, Margaret Roush and Beatrice Gentry. Those who will most cherish his memory are his daughters, Ashley Wood of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Heather Ballew of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; his sisters, Jeannette Galimore of Walhalla, South Carolina, Linda Porter (Tim) of Pickens, South Carolina, Audrey Goss (Hugh) of Salem, South Carolina and Doris Hannah (Dennis) of Pickens, South Carolina. Carl's family wishes to thank all of the staff at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca who took great care of him during his final days.

Services will be held privately at a later date among Carl’s family.
