Carl C. Swanson, 74, of Gray Court (Hickory Tavern), SC passed at his home on March 19, 2020. He was born April 14, 1945 to the late Earl and Hazel Irwin Swanson in Nebraska.
He was a member of Word of Life in Simpsonville, SC. He loved talking about the Lord and all His goodness. He retired from Bilo Warehouse in Mauldin, SC. Carl served his country by joining the Navy in the 60's. He served on the Joseph Muller Ship. His favorite pastime was was watching college football, baseball and of course telling jokes. His favorite teams were Nebraska Cornhuskers, Atlanta Braves and South Carolina Gamecocks.
Carl is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sidney Ball Swanson, son Carl C. Swanson, II (Elaine), daughter Patricia McCall (Joey), two grandsons AJ Swanson (Karie) and Isaac Swanson (Krista), two great grandsons Bradley Gregory and Baby U Swanson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Mike Swanson of Nebraska, Elon Swanson of Iowa and a sister Helen Swanson of Nebraska.
