GREENVILLE, SC –
Carl Lanford, 79, of Greenville, SC, passed away 12/06/2016 at Greenville Memorial Hospital, after several years of declining health. Carl was the son of Carl Clinton Lanford Sr. and Mary Sue Bobo Lanford. Born in Gaffney, SC, Carl grew up in Greer and attended Greer High School (Class of 1955). After high school, Carl attended The Citadel and then served in the U.S. Army Special Services in Korea. Most recently, Carl was an environmental driller with F&R, Inc.
In addition to his parents, Carl was predeceased by his son Edwin Skipper Lanford and sisters Suzanne Greene and Sylvia Marchant. He is survived by his wife Patricia Lanford, sister Carlene Miller, daughters Carol Jennings (Chris) and Ivy Brown (Mike) and sons Carl III “Chip” and Andrew, as well as four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
