LA FRANCE - Calvin (Hevy/Buck) Esco Mann III, 73, of La France, SC passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at home. Born January 31, 1950, he was the son of the late Calvin Mann Jr. and Betty Towe (Reece). He was married to Joyce O. Mann.
Hevy (Buck), an entrepreneur, worked at numerous pursuits. Car and motorcycle repair, stage magic and stunt shows, concessions, fireworks, promoting the Anderson Gun and Knife show, welding, metal fabrication, and countless other interests and talents. He loved people. He spent much of his time riding the mill hill to keep a check on any activities and to speak to everyone. Always with a quick smile and a clever comment.
Hevy is survived by his former wives, Mary Melva Darity and Jeanne Ross Neal; His son, Calvin E. Mann IV (Jennie) & his Daughter Jeanne T. Rivenbark (Sean), sisters Tina Epps (Danny), Elinda Harrison (Randall); Calvin's former wife Christina (Shaver) Mann and Grandchildren, Calvin E. Mann V (Quin), Charles Edison Mann (Charlie), Carson Elijah Mann. King Leonidas Maximus, Blue Belle, and Martha.
He is predeceased by his brother Steve Mann; sisters, Theresa Mann, Debra LaTour; his step-father Rudolph Reece and Ruby.
