Burrel Lavone Sutton

Burrel Lavone Sutton of Forest City, NC passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side at the age of 78 on October 12, 2023, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1962-1966 during the Peacetime and Vietnam War era. He was also a retired house painter. His life was a testament to courage, sacrifice, and love.
He was a devoted family man, always offering guidance, wisdom, and endless love.
He is survived by his two loving daughters, Leah Roper (Brian) of Forest City, NC, and Lisa Sutton Martin of Cowpens, SC. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren Michael Hill (Krystal), James Hill Jr. (Ashley), Heather Hill (Samuel), Jessica Meredith (Josh), Jennifer Meredith Hardin (Kevin) and his 11 great-grandchildren Bryson, Brayden, Ryan, Ashlyn, Addie, Ripley, Allie, Fox, Rori, Sylvia, and Eleanor along with numerous nieces and nephews who will forever carry his memory and his strong Christian values in their hearts.

As we say goodbye, let us remember the sacrifices he made, the love he shared, and the faith that guided him throughout his life. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at a family residence of 121 Dickson Cove Rd Campobello, SC 29322. The family will be at their respective homes.
