Buddy Dean Alexander

April 22, 1937 — April 18, 2015

Buddy Dean Alexander 77, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on April 18, 2015 at home, following a long battle with cancer.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.



He was a member of the Boiling Springs Church of God.  He retired from SCDC, worked security for the Carolina Panthers, and also owned Alexander & Son’s Logistics.



He is the son of the late Gilbert Titus and Marion Selena Alexander.  Buddy was born in Barnesville, Ohio on April 22, 1937.  He is survived by his wife, Annie Ruth Chavis Alexander of 60 years. Three children:  Charles D. Alexander (Cathy), Larinda A. Brownlee (Keith), and Kenneth R. Alexander (Leslie).  He has three surviving sisters:  Glory Mae Albright of San Francisco, CA, Betsy Dodd and Kay Dimmerman both of Barnesville, OH.  There are eight grandchildren:  Brent Brownlee (Autumn), Shauna Robinson (Chris), Ashley Alexander, Brittany Malone (Andrew), Kaleb Alexander, Mark Brownlee (Ashley), Connor and Seth Alexander.  There are eight great grandchildren:  Anna Kate Alexander, Courtney Robinson, Emma Grace Alexander, Iris Brownlee, Attikus Dei Alexander, Piper Malone, Brooklynn Robinson and William Malone.



Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Praise Cathedral Church of God in Greer, SC.  Pastor Michael Coward will be officiating.  Receiving of friends at 1:00, service immediately following.
