Brittney Paige Hannah, born on May 13, 1995, in Asheville, NC, brought everlasting light and love into the lives of all who knew her. Her vivacious spirit and selfless heart were a comfort and joy to her loved ones until her passing on July 3, 2024, in Inman, SC.
Brittney will be lovingly remembered by her adoring family, including her mother, Mary "Libby" Hannah along with her father David "Randy" Hannah (Melanie Rice). Her life was enriched and shared with her loving wife, Jessica. Brittney’s memory will also be treasured by sisters Samantha and Jessica Hannah, Amber Pierce (Matt), Tara O'Brien (Joe), and Samantha Reich (Brian). She touched the lives of her nieces and nephews—Mackenzie, Hannah, Lindsey, Madison, Annabelle, Roman, Isaiah, Genevieve, Lily, and Sawyer—and was held dear in the hearts of her extended family, including numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceding her in rest were her grandparents Robert Porter, Barbara Benedict, David Hannah, and Louise Brown.
Dedicated to her profession, Brittney served with compassion as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 10 years. Her work extended beyond her professional obligations, as she nurtured many foster animals with the same loving care she provided to her patients. Brittney’s versatility shone through her involvement in Dynamic Detailing, proving her belief that she could achieve anything she set her mind to.
Her zest for life was palpable through her passions, which included gem mining, reveling in the outdoors, and caring for animals. Brittney adored the simple pleasures of good food, coffee, and immersive books. Traveling to new destinations ignited her adventurous soul, much like her fascination with rocks and minerals.
Brittney in her short life was able to experience a love with her wife Jess that very few find in life. She loved being with her seven fur kids, outside, rocks, gems, and would walk miles for good coffee and good food! She never let life get her down. She smiled through all the battles the past year had brought her. Anyone who met her instantly loved her. Her love for animals was bigger than her. Her light was simply too big and bright for this world, it radiates through everything and everyone she has ever come across in life, even if it was just for a moment. Her loved ones will all carry her light with them.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 13, from 3-4 PM, at Mt. Pisgah Overlook on Blue Ridge Parkway, Canton, NC 28716. Flowers can be sent to Trinity of Fairview at 646 Concord Rd, Fletcher, NC 28732. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society.
