Brian Christopher Graydon

Brian Christopher Graydon, known affectionately as Brian to his family and friends, passed away on August 23, 2024, in Greenville, South Carolina, at the age of 50. Born on December 5, 1973, in Knob Noster, Missouri, to Benny R. Graydon and Terri L. Sloat, Brian's early life was filled with the warmth of a loving family and the joys of a childhood surrounded by the scenic beauty of his hometown.

A proud graduate of Blue Ridge High School in 1992, Brian carried with him the values of hard work and dedication throughout his life. He forged a career as a yard driver for WIS at Michelin, where he was not only respected for his professionalism but also cherished for his camaraderie and sense of community among his colleagues.

Brian's life was a tapestry of interests that reflected his love for the outdoors and his passion for adventure. A fisherman and hunter, he found solace and excitement in the embrace of nature. His enthusiasm for guns, paintball, and video games spoke to his playful spirit and his ability to find joy in diverse pursuits.

Those who knew Brian were touched by his loving nature, friendly demeanor, and intelligent conversation. He had the rare ability to light up a room with his presence and leave a lasting impression on the hearts of those he met.

Brian's family was the cornerstone of his life. He was a cherished son to his father, Benny R. Graydon, and his mother, Terri L. Sloat. His step-parents, Michael Sloat and Dianne M. Graydon, were integral parts of his life's journey. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James E. Graydon, Floyce (Flossie) E. Graydon, Shelton Taylor and Dorothy Taylor, his uncle Clifton (Bobo) Landreth, his aunt Beverly G. Landreth, his Godfather Elmer Stanton and his sisters Penny L. Kivett and Polly Seger. Brian's godmother, Jewel Stanton, played a special role in his upbringing and remained an important figure throughout his life.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories with his brother, Casey L. Belcher, and his sisters, Calie D. Belcher, Emily Belcher, Vara A. Sloat, Lisa Rabon, Melisa (Missy) Lawlor, and June Plunkett. Brian's family was his pride, and his devotion to them was evident in every aspect of his life.

Brian's passing is a profound loss to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered as a man who lived with purpose, cherished his family, and embraced life's adventures with an open heart.
