Brenda Collier

Brenda Collier, a beacon of faith and generosity, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2024, at the age of 79 in Easley, SC. Born on May 21, 1944, in Lenoir, NC, Brenda moved to Tampa FL as a young child and spent more than 60 years there. Brenda was a woman whose life was characterized by her thoughtful nature and her deep commitment to her Christian values.

Brenda's journey began as the cherished daughter of the late Jay C. Setzer and Mary Campbell Setzer. She grew up surrounded by the love of her siblings, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. Her sister, Jaydeana Galloway, remains to honor Brenda's memory, while her siblings Dolly DeBoodt, James Setzer, and Donald Setzer, as well as her parents, preceded her in passing.

Brenda's educational pursuits led her to a technical school, where she acquired skills that would serve her well throughout her professional life. She dedicated many years to the manufacturing and healthcare industries, where her work ethic and compassionate spirit made a lasting impact. Her colleagues will remember her not only for her professional contributions but also for her involvement in various associations where she was a source of inspiration and support.

Family was the cornerstone of Brenda's life. She is survived by her loving son, Jon Paul Collier, and her daughter-in-law, Jessica Collier. Brenda's role as a grandmother was one of her greatest joys, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for her granddaughters, Audrey and Reagan Collier.

Brenda's interests were a reflection of her inner spirit. Her commitment to her church and her passion for volunteering were manifestations of her faith-filled life.
