Bonnie Jean Brookshire Foster, 82, of Taylors, South Carolina went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 22, 2016.
Ms. Foster was born May 31, 1934, in Williamston, South Carolina. She graduated from Belton High School and attended Mars Hill College. Ms. Foster was employed in sales with Sears for a number of years, and then changed careers to become a successful real estate agent. She served as both a real estate agent and a broker before retiring. Bonnie had a zest for life and was an avid bridge player, enjoyed playing golf, and loved to entertain and spend time with friends and family. She particularly treasured her annual vacations with friends at the beach and the mountains. Ms. Foster was also active in church and community events and her life was characterized by her positive outlook and care for others.
Survivors include her brother Marshall Steele Brookshire(Tina) of Milwaukee, WI; son, John Roger Bush, Jr. (Cindy) of Greer, SC; and daughter Tina Bush Jones of Taylors, SC; grandchildren Hellen-Tier Henderson, Amy Fletcher (Roman), Jessica Rigler (Todd), and Parker Bush; great-grandchildren Israel Henderson, Clara Henderson, Jacob Henderson, and Emma Claire Rigler.
A memorial celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, July 30 at 10:30 AM at St. John’s Baptist Church, 2 Groveland Drive, Taylors, SC, with Dr. Pam Cole officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service at 10 am.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
A private committal service will be held at a future date at White Plains Baptist Church in Belton, SC.
