Bonita Lee "Bonnie" Graves, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 19, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on August 5, 1946, in the picturesque state of Maine, Bonnie's life was a tapestry of strength, love, friendship, and family.
Bonnie was the daughter of the late Gerald E. Stratton and Jessie P. Dupray, and the stepdaughter of the late John Dupray. Her life was marked by the profound love she had for her family, including her late daughter, Lisa Marie Wight. Bonnie's legacy continues through her devoted daughter, Sherri Wight (Knut) Haldenwang, her adored grandsons, Simon and Max, her sister, Carolyn (Joe) Marina, her brother, John Dupray, and the many beloved nieces and nephews who brought her immeasurable joy.
An alumna of South Lancaster Academy and Husson College, She made friends for a life time working at St. Joseph’s Hospital and spent the last half of her career in medical coding. Bonnie cherished the friendships she made along the way and friends became like family.
Bonnie's life was a celebration of the simple pleasures—watching her grandchildren grow, gardening, and gathering with family and friends. She cherished these moments, and her laughter and stories will be missed.
As we bid farewell to Bonnie, we reflect on a life lived with an open heart and an unwavering spirit. She was an independent, courageous woman who loved deeply, and embraced life's journey with strength and determination. Her absence will be deeply felt.
Bonnie's memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories shared, the gardens nurtured, and the family gatherings that will continue to echo with her laughter. Her spirit, a blend of love, friendliness, and courage, will remain a guiding force for generations to come.
