Bobbie Jo Dover McCombs

Bobbie Jo Dover McCombs, 86, of 13 Saco St, Greenville S.C., departed this life Tuesday August 29, 2017, at Manna Health and Rehab of Pickens. Mrs. McCombs was born and raised in the Woodside Mill Community in Greenville. Daughter of the late F.L. “Red” Dover and Alice Pauline Sudduth Dover. She was the loving wife of Wallace Hansel McCombs for over 60 years. They raised their children in the Brandon Mill Community. Bobbie worked at Brandon Mill and KM Fabrics, and other textile mills until her retirement.

Mrs. McCombs was a member of Brandon United Methodist church for many years. She was predeceased by her husband Wallace Hansel McCombs, a son Wallace Hansel McCombs Jr., a son David McCombs, & sister Betty Jane Dover, and brother Buddy Dover.

She is survived by daughter Jane Gail McCombs Gillespie (James) of Marietta, grandson Jonathan Edward Gillespie, of Easley, grandson James David Gillespie of Pickens (Renee), sister Dora “Dodie” Kendall of Bennettsville, SC, sister Martha Dover Beranek of Lincoln, NE, & sister Jerry Dean Dover of Greenville.

Funeral services will be conducted at Westville Funerals 6010 White Horse Rd, Greenville, and will be conducted by Rev. Rusty Godfrey. Visitation at 1PM. Funeral service at 2PM on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 and burial following at Graceland Cemetery.
