Bobbie Kay Glisson Crooks, a resident of Greer, South Carolina, passed from life to life eternal on February 6, 2020 following a valiant struggle with metastatic lung cancer. She will be greatly missed for her indomitable spirit, ability to overcome adversity, and fearless living. Bobbie was born September 30, 1958 in Newport News, Virginia, but lived most of her life in North and South Carolina. Her family and good friends remember Bobbie as a loving and devoted friend, mother, grandmother, and sister. A talented and adaptable person, Bobbie worked for banks and automotive manuafacturing, as well as her own, successful business selling antiques. Bobbie was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Kay Whittemore Gaddy Bryant, her brother, Melvin Woodard Gaddy II, and sister, Connie Lynn Gaddy Jefferies. She is survived by her father, Bobbie LeRoy Glisson of Summerville, South Carolina, as well as her daughter, Jessica Michelle Shipman, and granddaughter, Avery Claire Shipman, both of Greer, South Carolina. Bobbie is also survived by her sister, Casandra Louise Glisson Goodmark, brother-in-law, Jeffrey Alan Goodmark, and nephews Stephen Lee Epperson and Peter Joseph Cerna V of Mill Creek, Washington.
