Blanche Elvira (Reid) Palmer
A long term resident of Poughkeepsie NY.
passed away , peacefully under the care of Agape Hospice on August 26, 2022 at the age of 93 at Patewood Post Acute in Greenville SC .
Blanche was born February 13,1929 to Dora (Reid) Randolph and Edward Reid.
Born and raised in Dutchess County NY (Pawling and Poughquag)
Attended Pawling schools and had a career in nursing and was employed at Saint Francis Hospital and Castle Point Veterans hospital.
Blanche moved to Greenville SC in 2006, where she did what she loved caring for family. She helped raise a lot of her siblings' children though out her lifetime. Blanche was affectionally known to most as Aunt Blanche. Since 2007 she has co-parent Dashaun and Quade'ja Derello both of Greenville, SC. Her favorite activity was taking the children to the library, she was an Adavit reader. She also enjoyed fishing, cooking , crosswords, puzzles and traveling with her niece Patrcia Maggett, Stanley, NC.
She is survived by a son Kenneth Tuttle (Las Vegas NV) two Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and her niece and loving caregiver Kia Derello. She was pre-deceased by her husband Preston W. (Sonny)Palmer jr , seven sibling Hazel (Reid) Derello, Edward Reid, George Reid, Samuel Reid, Frances (Reid) White, Sylvia Reid, Richard Reid.
Blanche was a light and special person to all that knew her, she will be truly missed by many.
