Woodruff-Billy B. Oakley passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2021. Born March 10, 1940, in Clinton, SC, he was the last surviving child of J.Pruitt and Margaret Lena Lou Oakley. Billy was predeceased by a sister Jean Dawkins, and two brothers, J.D. and Johnny Oakley. He is survived by his loving wife Theresia Oakley, 3 children; Anna Baldwin of Seneca, Monica Dailey of Oak Harbor, and Billy Joe Oakley of Woodruff, 23 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He retired 26 years ago from Torrington Company where he worked for over 30 years. He was a lifelong member of Lydia Baptist Church in Clinton, SC, and later attended Redemption Baptist Church in Enoree, SC. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed many weekends with his lifelong friends at Lakeside Country Club. He enjoyed baseball in his younger days and going to Gamecock football games. He spent his retirement years helping with projects on the farm, deer hunting with friends, watching over a few heads of cattle, and mowing the grass. He was a person of integrity and honesty and made friends that lasted a lifetime. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
