Billy Douglas Mayfield

Billy Douglas “Bud” Mayfield, 82, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021, at his home. He was the son of the late Forrest McKowen & Lucille Medford Mayfield. He worked at Lewis’ Drive-In before working at Winn-Dixie Warehouse where he retired in 2001. He was a member and the minister of music for Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Armelia Lawson “Mandy” Mayfield of Greer; one daughter, Misty Solesbee (Brian), and two grandchildren, Karsyn and Zachary Solesbee.
Mr. Mayfield was predeceased by three sisters, Judy Mayfield, Jeanette Mayfield, and Kathy Souther.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 28th, 2021, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, conducted by Reverend Paul Manous. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 10:45 am Saturday at the church prior to the service.
