Billy Joe Brezeale, 68, of Pickens, SC, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at his home. Born on December 11, 1947 in Pickens to his parents, Billy Frank Brezeale and LouDean (Shelton) Brezeale, he was a lifelong resident of Pickens, he owned and operated Brezeale Sandblasting from 1977 until his retirement in 2010. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, building things with his hands and working on his farm.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Adam Fowler Brezeale. Those who will most cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, Reta Brezeale of Pickens; daughters, Angela Brezeale, Dena Wellman and husband, Lee of Pickens; son, Brett Joseph Brezeale and wife, April of Pickens; brother, Frank Brezeale and wife, Debra of Pickens; sisters, Martha Jean Hall and husband, Keith, Linda McMahan of Mountain Rest, SC and Diane Coleman of Pickens; six grandchildren, Mason Brezeale, Bailey Turner, Mollie Wellman, Austin, Brett and Andrew Brezeale. Billy is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services to honor his life will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Secona Baptist Church, 234 Secona Road in Pickens. The family will received friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the church. Entombment will follow services at the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
