Beverly Jean Bunton (nee Helverson) was born in Evansville, Indiana and moved to Richmond Hill, Georgia at the age of 3. She met her lifelong love, Terry Bunton, at the age of 16. She was a student at St. Vincent’s Academy in Savannah. He was a Benedictine cadet. They married just after her 18th birthday. Their firstborn, Cindy, was born in July that year. They raised four children as he pursued his career as a writer and she in the medical field. She was an avid gardener and lover of nature. She is survived by her four children, Cindy Oufnac, of New Orleans, Louisiana, Aprille Bunton, of Greenville, South Carolina, Chris Bunton, of St. Petersburg, Florida and Julie Brackett, of Seneca, South Carolina. She had four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She has one surviving brother, James, of Miami, and sister, Priscilla Faxon, of Charlottesville, Virginia.
There will be no service, but to honor her memory, her family asks that you plant something and care for it.
