Betty Jean North Strossner, 70, of Central, South Carolina passed from this life on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 in Greenville, South Carolina. Born on March 23, 1949 in Asheville, North Carolina to her parents, John Robert North and Amanda Leona (Brown) North, she resided in the Upstate since 1972 and she worked as Certified Nurses Aide in the Medical Industry. Her family will remember her for her sense of Humor and her heart of Gold. She enjoyed reading the Bible, watching Animal Planet on Television and going camping.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her two sisters, Dorothy Garrison and Margaret Mathis; her brothers, Ed North, Homer North, Larry North and Bobby North and her longtime companion, James Ware. Betty is survived by her son, Bobby McElrath and his wife, Wanda of Greenville; her daughter, Donna K. McElrath and her companion, Ricky Smith of Seneca; her stepdaughter, Sheila Luker of Piedmont her grandchildren, Ashley McElrath, Kevin Tollison, Christopher Tollison, Courtney Riden and Shannon Ozanne; her great grandchildren, Liam Lee, Kayden Neese, Keri Tollison, Bentlee Tollison, Easton Cox, JoelLee Tollison and one on the way, Waylon Becker; her step grandchildren, Autumn and Kenzie Ozanne and Sam ands Aundrea Silvers.
Services to remember and honor Betty’s life will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 1, 2019 in the Chapel of the Cremation Society of South Carolina, 6010 White Horse Road, Greenville, South Carolina. A gathering of Betty’s family and friends will be from 1:00 P.M.until 2:00 P.M. on Monday at the Funeral Home.
