Betty Hastings

Betty Hastings, 83, Taylors, South Carolina and Eastport, Maine, passed away surrounded by family on February 22, 2018. She was born on February 23, 1934 in West Enfield to Levi and Madeline (Moreau) Clukey. Betty attended Husson College in Bangor and earned a degree in Business Education. She went on to teach and then do bookkeeping for many years. Betty had many special friends and hobbies over the years. Some of her favorite things to do were knit, quilt, cook and spend lots of time with family. Many were touched by her kindness and creations. She is survived by six children, Annemarie Hastings, Lewiston, Greg Hastings, Perry, Rob Hastings, Portland, Chris Hastings and his wife Terri, Taylors, SC, Dan Hastings and his wife Laura, Swanville, and Jennifer George and her husband Chris, Taylors, SC. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A mass will be scheduled for the summer in Eastport. She will be buried at West Enfield Cemetery in West Enfield beside her parents. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Assiciation.
