Bernice Gertrude Rogers, age 83, of Greenville, South Carolina died suddenly in her home on November 18, 2022. Beloved wife of Aubrey Rogers and cherished mother of Keith Rogers, Lynn Wise (Anthony), and Jane Rogers (Bernard Podurgiel). Loving grandmother of Jeremey, Lauren and Adam Wise, Anna, Ella and Benjamin Podurgiel, and Keira Rogers. Also survived by her brother Harold Janes (Pam) and sister Louise Barnes. She was predeceased by parents Harold and Theresa Janes, and sisters Elizabeth Henry, Phyllis McDonald and Jean Noseworthy. Bernice will be best remembered for her warmth, kindness and sense of humour, and her love for and pride in her children and grandchildren.
Bernice was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland in 1939 and met her husband Aubrey in 1959. They married in 1965 and moved to Greenville, South Carolina in 1981. They shared a deep love, supporting and caring for one another throughout their lives.
Bernice will be missed by all. A funeral service and committal will be held at Christ Church Episcopal, 10 North Church Street, Greenville, SC 29601 on Monday, December 5 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
