Benny Coleman Keesler
August 23, 1944 — September 10, 2020
Benny Coleman Keesler, 76, of Roebuck, SC, passed away at home on Thursday, September 10th, 2020. He was born on Wednesday, August 23rd, 1944 in Spartanburg, SC to his parents, the late Lewis Stanley and Pauline Trotter Keesler.
Benny will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 37 years, Elizabeth Keesler; his children, David Smith Jr. (Connie), Linda Smith (Stewart “Rusty”); his grandchildren, David Smith III (Katie), Kerrie Higgins (Paul) and Nickie Johnson; his great grandchildren, Mason Higgins and Sawyer Smith; his brother, Douglas Keesler (Dora); his nephew Jeff Keesler and his niece Terri Keesler.
Benny was an avid outdoorsman, he was a very proud Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He retired after 25 years of working at Monsanto. He loved his brother Doug.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Bethlehem Bapist Church at PO Box 229, Roebuck, SC 29376.
A Private Memorial Service is scheduled for Sunday, September 20th, 2020 at 2pm, to be held at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the Roebuck Fire Department and Spartanburg EMS for the care and compassion they have demonstrated.
