Barry Jay Barton, 58, beloved husband of Kathy Hinson Barton, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 13, 2015.
Born in Greenville, Barry was a son of the late James Cleveland and Anne Nell King Barton. He was a member New Life Baptist Church, and a retired electrician.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 20 years are two sons, Jason Poole and his wife Lindsay, and James Gambrell; two grandchildren, Eden and Ezra; two sisters and two brothers, Sheila Howard (Danny), Susan Lindsey (Keith), Jimmy Barton (Tammy), Michael Barton (Gail). Predeceased was a brother, Timothy Barton.
Services will be held on Mon. Feb. 16 at New Life Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 11AM - Noon, with the funeral at Noon. Entombment will be at Graceland Cemetery West. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the American Liver Foundation. Through his brief illness, Barry had a strong faith in our Saviour. He was much loved by his family and returned that love ten-fold. He was an inspiration and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. CSSC-WESTVILLE FUNERALS is serving the Barton family.
