Barbara Deason

Barbara Deason, 80, was called to Heaven May 28th at her home in Anderson, SC, after an 11 month battle with cancer.
Barabara was born June 25, 1935 in Hickory NC to the late J.S. and Irene Bailey.
Barbara worked in the family run business most of her life as well as being a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family. She married Jerry Deason Febuary 18, 1953 who was in the Navy. They resided in many palces untill settling in Naples, FL for 38 years before moving to Anderson SC. She was a life long Christian and taught Sunday School where she was a strong influence on so many peoples lives. Barbara enjoyed life to the fullest and always had a smile and was such an inspirtion to everyone she met. She was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family.
There will be a memorial service at Pope Drive Baptist Church in Anderson, SC June 18th at 11am. Rev. Matt Danuser will conduct the service. There will be a "Celebration of Her Life" at her home at 126 Sea Palms Drive in Anderson, SC after the service.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, W.G. (Jerry) Deason; her son, Day Deason of Anderson SC; her two daughters, Dawn Morgan of Naples FL and Gerda Goodwin and her husband Wally of Island Falls ME; five Grandchildren, Jonathon Deason and his wife Mollie of Orlando FL; Justin Deason and his wife Laura of Naples FL; Baylen Dahl and his wife Parsons of Tampa FL; Cameran Beckman and her husband Shawn of Naples FL and Chad Morgan of Naples FL, and six Great-Grandchildren, Alex, Camryn and Jaylen Deason; Emory, Fischer and Fletcher Dahl; Blake and Brock Beckman and Cruz Morgan; Brother, Ronald Bailey and his wife Janice of Hickory NC; sister in-laws, Rachel Bailey of Hickory NC; Alice Forst and her husband Wally of Richmond VA and Carolyn Moreland of Hickory NC ; and many neices and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that you donate to Interim Healthcare Hospice at 155 Deacon Tiller Court, Duncan, SC 29334.
