August C. Jones, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on August 14, 2024, in the comfort of his daughter's home in Spartanburg, SC. Born on June 14, 1971, in Spartanburg, August's life was one of unwavering dedication to his family and community.

August was the beloved husband of Jolanda Dixon, with whom he shared 37 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Although predeceased by his son Dereck Lee Dixon, August's legacy continues through his daughter, Tiffany Dixon, and her husband, Karron Glasper, of Greenville, SC.

A proud grandfather, August's joy was multiplied by the presence of his grandchildren, Kenyon C. Lynch, Shiangela M. Lynch, and Jamarcus X Massey, all of Greenville, SC. His love for them knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent in their company.

August is survived by his siblings, Lawrence Jones and Eingar (Orlando) Spellman, both of Spartanburg, SC. They, along with his many aunts and uncles in Spartanburg and Philadelphia, will remember August for his strength, compassion, and the unwavering support he provided to all.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Tonya Norris, whose memory remained a guiding light in his life.

August's life was marked by his commitment to his family and the joy he found in simple pleasures. His warm smile and generous spirit were a beacon of hope to those who knew him. He was a man of integrity and kindness, and his influence will be felt for generations to come.
