Anthony “Tony” Wade Delk, 51 passed away at his home in Greenville on Thursday, January 7, 2021, from natural causes. Tony was born May 4, 1969, in Greenville where he lived most of his life. He attended Wade Hampton High School, class of 1987 remaining close to so many friends throughout the years. He worked in the relocation business and for Smith Dray Line for over 23 years. Tony loved life. He was a follower of Jesus. He loved to laugh, was always smiling, always there to lend a hand, and loved his family and friends with deep compassion. He enjoyed working in his gardens, loved to fish, ride his Harley through the mountains on a beautiful day, the beach, watch racing, football, his Georgia Bulldogs, and his heroes Haggard and Jones. Tony was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church, recently attending Rutherford Road Baptist Church. He was survived by his father, Ronald Lee Delk of Greer; his mother, Deborah Lynn Hutchins; a sister, Tammie Leigh Delk, and nephew, Nicholas Brooks Delk, all of Greenville; fiancé, Patricia Charlene Dockins also of Greenville, whom Tony truly loved with all his heart; aunts, uncles, and several very close cousins like brothers. Tony’s Memorial Services and Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at Rutherford Road Baptist Church.
