Anthony E. Miglionco, age 89, of Greenville, SC passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 2, 2017. Born in Pittston, PA, Anthony (Tony Sr) lived in Philadelphia, PA, moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 1969 and then relocated to Greenville, SC in 1991.
Tony Sr lived a successful and fulfilling life that included his exit from the Navy in 1954 where he served as a pipefitter, ship & boat building and repair personnel, and married the love of his life, Betty E. Evans in 1956. Together they owned and operated a successful plumbing and heating business in Phila, PA until 1969. Tony Sr retired as the Chief Plumbing & Building Inspector for the city of Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 1988. During that time Tony Sr was as active member of many organizations in the city hall, and was a volunteer with the Auxiliary Coast Guard. Upon retiring to Greenville, SC he lived out his life as a busy, and loving grandfather, great grandfather, father and husband.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Angelina Miglionico, sisters; Rosemary Townsend, and Grace Hatzell, and brother Frank J. Miglionico, Sr.
He is survived and missed by his wife Betty (Evans) Miglionico, brothers; Charles and Martin Paul Miglionico, daughter Patty and (husband) Joseph Mulherin and son Tony Jr. and (wife) Beth Miglionico. Also survived by his beloved grandchildren; Audrey and (husband) Brandon McIntosh, Nicole and (wife) Jesse Miglionico and Kelsey Mulherin, plus two recent great-grandchildren; Lachlan and Rylan McIntosh.
