Anthony William Franco

Anthony William Franco, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Greenville, SC, on March 23, 2023, at the age of 79.

Anthony was born in Pittsburg, PA, on January 1, 1944, to Anthony and Florence Franco. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a pharmacist. After his service, Anthony settled in Greenville, where he met the love of his life, Sherry Franco. They were married for 24 years and built a beautiful life together.

Anthony was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his son, Anthony Nicholas Franco(Sabrina), and his grandchildren, Sofia Franco, Zachary Lawrence, Skye McClure (Ryker), Dakota Lawrence (Siera), Ian Lawrence, and Fiona Lawrence. He also adored his great-grandchild Jeffrey Anthony McClure.

Anthony had a passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed watching their games. He also loved spending time up in Table Rock, where he could relax and enjoy nature. Anthony had a special fondness for birds and enjoyed being around them whenever he could.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Florence "Cookie" Lynn, and his brother Richard Franco. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Franco; son, Anthony Nicholas Franco (Sabrina); sister, Traci Hutto (Dennis); brother-in-law, Michael Frost (Susan); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Anthony will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will forever be cherished, and his legacy will live on through his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of the Cremation Society of SC - Westville Funerals.
