Anthony Bryson Blackwell, known affectionately as Bryson to his friends and family, passed away on May 10, 2024, at his home in Little Mountain, South Carolina. Born on May 26, 1991, in Spartanburg, SC, Bryson's life was marked by his adventurous spirit, creative mind, and passionate heart.
Bryson was the beloved son of Bonnie Tuck Blackwell. He was a cherished father to his daughter, Aubree Skye Blackwell, who was the light of his life. His presence will also be deeply missed by his biological father, Anthony "Chad" Blackwell, his biological mother, Stephanie Shealy, and his many siblings: Brittiny Blackwell, Rosalie Blackwell, Aireal Blackwell, Chasity Blackwell, Jasper Blackwell, Jeana Clark, Michelle Pollard (Austin), and Kayla Clark. Bryson was a treasured grandson to Billie Shealy and the late Gaither W. Blackwell Jr. and John Shealy. His uncles, Jeffrey and Gregory Blackwell, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, will fondly remember Bryson's unique ability to light up a room.
Bryson's educational journey culminated in earning his GED. His professional life was spent as a dedicated metal worker at Wayne Achelpohl Roofing in Prosperity, SC.
Beyond his work, Bryson had a profound love for the natural world. He was an avid animal enthusiast, and his knowledge of wildlife was vast and impressive. His interests led him to spend countless hours enjoying the Discovery Channel, where he indulged his curiosity and learned about the animal kingdom and other uncommon facts. Bryson's love for the outdoors was also evident in his passion for hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to immerse himself in the tranquility of nature.
A man of many talents, Bryson had a particular flair for cooking, often delighting his family and friends with his delicious creations. His culinary skills were only matched by his love for music, which was a constant source of joy and inspiration in his life. In his leisure time, Bryson could be found engrossed in his PlayStation, where he explored virtual worlds with the same adventurous spirit he brought to his everyday life.
Those who knew Bryson will remember him as a man who lived life to the fullest. His creative approach to life's challenges, combined with his passionate and adventurous nature, made him a memorable and impactful presence in the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A memorial service will take place at Warrior Creek Baptist Church, 139 Cum Laude Way Gray Court, SC 29645 at 1pm on June 1, 2024. A reception will follow the service.
