Annie Boone Carroll, 93, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018.
Born in Rockingham, North Carolina, she was the youngest daughter of the late Conley Beecher Covington and Estelle Diggs Covington. Annie was of the Methodist faith.
Annie had a long, fulfilling life which included working as a flight attendant for Pan American World Airways during the 1940’s. One of her great joys in recent years was singing with the choir at Haywood Estates. Her family and friends remember her as a person of great faith, grace and kindness.
She is survived by her sons, Michael W. Boone and his wife Ricki of Greer, South Carolina, and Richard R. Boone and his wife Karen of Lexington, Tennessee, along with many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Womble Boone and Eugene Anthony Carroll, and by her sisters, Hallie Covington, Ina Bynum and Joan Knobloch.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone for their love, prayers and support during this time.
A private, family service will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The American Cancer Society.
