Annette Joan Russo, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2024, in Belton, South Carolina, at the age of 79. Born on October 20, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, Annette's life was a testament to the power of caring and warmth that she extended to everyone around her.

Annette was the loving life partner of Craig Melinson, with whom she shared countless cherished moments and unwavering support. She is survived by her brother John Russo and predeceased by her brother, Joseph Russo, who held a special place in her heart.  Annette's legacy of love continues through her daughters, Diane (Butch) Miller, Karen Herard, and Jane (Richard Holt) Colhoun. Her role as a grandmother was one of her greatest joys, imparting wisdom and creating memories with her grandchildren, Rhen, Joshua, Sean, Samantha, Isaiah, Caylin, Marlena, and Elijah. The light of her life shone even brighter with the birth of her great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Levi, Luca, Marcello, and  Maliyah.

Annette's professional life included years of dedicated service in the mortgage and property management business, where her thoughtful nature and attention to detail made her a beloved colleague. However, her true calling was that of a Matriarch, where she excelled in creating a warm and welcoming home for her family and friends. Annette's interests were a reflection of her love for life and people. She relished in the joy of family gatherings, the art of entertaining, the creativity of cooking, and the thrill of traveling. Each activity she undertook was an opportunity to spread happiness and to nurture the bonds she held so dear.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Annette will remember her as a loving, thoughtful, and generous soul. Her ability to listen with an open heart and to give without expectation was the essence of her character. Annette's presence was a comfort, her laughter a melody, and her advice a treasure that will be profoundly missed.

Annette's life was a beautiful tapestry of the moments she shared and the lives she touched. Her spirit, though no longer in physical form, will continue to guide and inspire those who love her. Annette's unwavering love for her family, her passion for life, and her kindhearted deeds have left an indelible mark on the world.

As we bid farewell to Annette Joan Russo, we celebrate a life lived with grace, compassion, and an abundance of love.
