Ann Bell Edwards, 90 years old, of Greer, South Carolina passed away on January 11, 2024. Ann Bell Edwards was the daughter of the late Henry Hart “Tinker” Bell and Fanny Lou Tisdale Bell of Surry, Va. She grew up in Surry, Va with her parents and her brother, Robert H. Bell. She was preceded by her husband, Bruce William Edwards of Greer, South Carolina.
In addition to her family, Ann had a passion for learning and teaching. She graduated from Averett University and continued her education with a degree in business. She spent many years as a teacher and substitute teacher in the Greenville County School system after teaching school in the Hampton / Newport News, Virginia area. Her passion extended to her family in the form of education and passing on the family history.
As well as her primary passion for education, she had a zest for life and travel. She lived in many states in the US, the US territory of Puerto Rico, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She and Bruce traveled through the countries of Europe and Asia. One of her favorite visits was to the North Pole.
She married Bruce William Edwards in Williamsburg, Va on April 16.1966. She and Bruce had two sons, Craig William Edwards ( Tammy ) and Dana William Edwards ( Miranda ). Her two sons gave her four grandchildren- Caden William Edwards, Brennan William Edwards, Claire Bernadette Edwards, and Griffin Thomas Edwards, whom she cherished very much. Because of her kind nature, she cared deeply for her community and considered everyone her extended family.
Ann will be remembered as a devoted educator, a passionate traveler, a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She and her gift for storytelling will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A service will be held to honor her memory at St Peter's Episcopal Church 910 Hudson Road Greenville, SC 29615 on February 10, 2024, at 11 am. The family invites Friends and extended Family to join them after the service at the family's home located at 212 North Antigo Court, Greer, SC 29650.
