Ann Bailey

Ann Witty Bailey, 83, passed on February 29th. Ann was born in March of 1940 in Jacksonville, FL to Dr. Robert Gee Witty and Lilly Leona Maxwell.   

Throughout her life, Ann was a champion of service.  She had a fondness for helping others, particularly children in life.  This is evident in her ownership of the A Child’s World daycare centers in Oconee county and her volunteer work with the Guardian Ad Litem.  Both of which led to accommodations, awards, and service on the South Carolina board of Child Care Services.

She is survived by her two sons Col. Timothy D. Bailey USAF (ret.) of Layton, UT and William T Bailey of Walhalla, SC, brother Robert Witty, sister Edith Krblich along with seven grandchildren.

Ann’s request was that in lieu of a service for us to have a quiet moment of reflection of the service and light she brought to the world.  Her love for her family and supporting others never waivered, and for that, her light will be missed but still carried on in those that she touched.
