Alma Carolyn Burns

Alma Carolyn Burns, 82, wife of Cecil M Burns, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022, in Greer, South Carolina. Carolyn was the daughter of the late Houston “Shorty” and Tessie Pruitt and was born December 1, 1939, in Campbello/Gramling, South Carolina. Carolyn was a homemaker, who enjoyed several outside jobs, including “Mother’s Day Out” with FBC of Greer, part-time work with M & M Mars, and worked for ‘American Greetings Card Company.
Carolyn is survived by Cecil, her husband of 64 years; a daughter Victoria Burns Bell; and a son Greg Burns (Melody) all of Greer, South Carolina. She has 2 Grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was predeceased by her sister, Elaine P. Lyda; son-in-law, Jeffrey A. Bell, and nephew, Timothy Lyda.
The family would like to Thank Everyone from Interim Hospice for their help so that Carolyn could stay at home during her final days. Especially Genina, Pam, Alex, Miller, and Chaplain Bobby, your help and compassion go beyond words.
The family will gather privately Monday, October 31, 2022.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be announced at a later date.
