Alice Camellia Thornton Flynn, age 76, of Greenville, wife of William E. Flynn, passed away at home Monday, August 23, 2021. She was born June 8, 1945, at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville to the late Arthur Lloyd Thornton and Ruby Mae Thornton. Camellia was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She cared deeply for each of her family members, friends, and neighbors. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was nurturing, headstrong, determined, successful, and incredibly loving.
She is survived by many that love her including her husband of 12 years, and her children, Tim Madison and Pam Madison. Grandchildren, Timothy Madison Jr., Brittany Madison, and Thomas Madison. Sisters, Barbara Ivey, Marie Johnson, and Theresa Rathbone. She is also survived by Jacob Black and all of her nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Camellia was predeceased by her sister Freida Crews and brother James Carrol Thornton.
