Alice Harvin

Alice Harvin, a beacon of laughter and warmth, passed away on July 17, 2024, in her hometown of Spartanburg, SC, where she was also born on May 15, 1962. Known for her infectious humor, friendly demeanor, and passionate spirit, Alice's presence was a gift to all who knew her.

Alice spent her life surrounded by the love of her family and is survived by her sisters, Amanda Miller of Spartanburg, Lisa Shelton of Woodruff, Vanell Martain of Spartanburg, and Alicia Rice, her sister in the home. She was preceded in death by her sister Orlean Bumgarner, her mother Elizabeth Miller, and her father Allen Leak. Alice's legacy continues through the lives of her many adoring nieces and nephews, who will miss her dearly. Her long-term loved one, Donald Homes of Spartanburg, will cherish the memories of the life they shared together.

A lifelong resident of Spartanburg, Alice's presence was felt throughout the community. Her passion for crochet allowed her to create countless pieces of art that warmed the homes and hearts of many. Alice's melodious voice could often be heard as she joyfully engaged in singing, a pastime that brought her immense pleasure and brought joy to those around her.

Alice's sense of humor was unparalleled; she had an uncanny ability to find the funny in the mundane and could light up a room with her quick wit. Friends and family will fondly remember her for the laughter and camaraderie she brought to every gathering.

As we bid farewell to Alice Harvin, we celebrate a life lived with zest and an unyielding capacity for friendship.
