Alexander James Milligan, 95, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his home. Born on January 2, 1923 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to his parents, Alexander Wesley and Mary (Neafsey) Milligan, he lived in Greenville for the last 33 years and he retired as a high school teacher in the public school system where he taught science. He also taught on the college level at the Hofstra College in New York. He served his country honorably as a veteran of the United States Army during World War, II.
Mr. Milligan is preceded in death by his parents. Those who who most cherish his memory are his loving wife of 65 years, Mary J. Milligan of Greenville, South Carolina.
