Albert "A. J." Villalpando, 21, of Greenville, South Carolina, went home to be with his heavenly father on Saturday, September 14, 2019 in Greenville, South Carolina. A resident of Greenville County, he is the son of Raquel and Shannon Johnston of Greenville, SC and Albert Villalpando Sr. of Riverside, CA. He had aspirations of joining the service and loved his many pets, which included snakes, dogs, rabbits, street cats, guinea pigs and bearded dragons. Unfortunately, we did not let him get the monkey that he so badly wanted. His most recent ambition was motorcycles. He had a huge imagination that was really out of this world. You had to know AJ to understand him, and you really had to be lucky to know A.J. He was a gentle soul with the biggest heart and wanted to do whatever he could to help people.
He is survived by his parents, his younger sister, Maryna Villalpando, and his younger brother, Tristan Johnston. He is also survived by his grandparents, Socorro Nevarez and Aurelio Villalpando, and step grandparents, Barry Johnston and Nancy Johnston, as well as many, many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
A memorial service to remember and honor A.J.'s life will be at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, September 21, 2019 at North Hills Church, 4952 Edwards Rd, Taylors, SC 29687. The family will gather to receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the church. The family wishes to thank everyone for their kindness and support during their time of loss.
