Albert Wallace Toney

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Albert Wallace Toney on April 25th, 2023, at the age of 83. Albert was born on April 18th, 1940, in Piedmont, South Carolina, where he resided his entire life.
Albert was a dedicated employee of Covenant Transportation for many years, where he made many lifelong friends. He served his country proudly as a veteran of the Navy, and his service to his country was a source of great pride for him throughout his life.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, all siblings, his beloved wife of 59 years Linda Ashley Toney, and his son Steve C. Toney. He was a devoted husband and father, and his love for his family was unwavering.
Albert is survived by his son Josh Toney (Cherie) and grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law W. Kent Ashley (Belinda), and several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A service to honor Albert's life and service to his country will be held on Monday, May 15th, at 3 PM at the M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with military honors.
Albert will be remembered for his kind heart, his devotion to his family, and his love for his country. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy will live on through his family and friends.
