Agnes Dawsey Rogers, almost 99 years of age, died on Sunday, April 17 in Greenwood, South Carolina. She was the wife of the late Rev. Dr. William F. Rogers, Jr. Agnes was born in Birigui, Brazil on April 30, 1917 to American missionaries Rev. Cyrus Bassett Dawsey, later Bishop of Brazil and Ethel Sanders Dawsey, writer and teacher. An avid reader in multiple languages, Agnes also loved storytelling and writing. She reared five sons and shared with them her deep appreciation for music and literature and especially her love of people.
