William 'Ray' Cobb

William 'Ray' Cobb, 78, Greer, SC, passed away on December 12, 2020. He was the son of the late Bob and Maybelle Cobb, born in Greenville, SC on September 14, 1942. William leaves behind his children, Susan Wright, Tracy Cobb, and Nicholas Needham; grandchildren, Jessica Pyjas (Eric) and Jamie Needham; great-grandchild, Roman Pyjas; three nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marian Cobb; son, Jason Cobb; siblings, Robert "Bobby" Cobb, Linda Shannon, and James Cobb. Ray served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps from 1959-1962. He was the President of Davis Mechanical Contractors for 25 years. Ray enjoyed golfing, reading, volunteering for countless charities and programs. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Ray was a devout Lutheran. While he may have left this earth, he will forever be missed and loved. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Mon., Dec. 28 in the Chapel at Cremation Society of SC-Westville Funerals.
