Walter Bruce Moore Sr.

Walter Bruce Moore Sr., 78, Husband of Carroll DuPre Moore, passed away January 24, 2023. A native of Greenville, son of the late Otis Prentiss and Virginia Thompson Moore. He was a retired real estate property manager. He was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Prentiss Moore. Surviving is one son, Walter Bruce Moore Jr., one daughter, Elizabeth Luther and her husband Ric, with their four children, Alexandra, Christopher, Katherine, and Andrew, and a stepson, Tripp and Jessica Cromer, and their son Caleb, also surviving are his sister Ginger Teed and her husband Rod. Walter Bruce Moore Sr. was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, a life member of Moore’s Creek Battlefield, a member of the Poinsett Club, a member of St. Andrews Society, a member of the Cotillion Club, and Rose Hill Hunt Club. He attended the University of Georgia and graduated from Gardner- Webb.
Funeral Service will be held on February 7th, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Springwood Cemetery located at 410 N Main St, Greenville, SC 29601. Services will be conducted by Rev. Grover Putnam, a minister of BSUMC.
