Terry was born in Jackson, Mississippi to Marion and Opal King.
He grew up in a Christian home. At age eleven he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He truly loved his Lord & was very thankful for His many blessings to him. He attended Bob Jones University where he met his wife, Julie. They were married nearly fifty years and very much enjoyed being together.
The Kings were blessed with & are survived by two sons, James Robert (Cristine) and James David (Kaitlin). Terry dearly loved his grandchildren, Campbell Savannah King, Anna Grace King, and Aiden James King. He is also survived by a sister, Susan Atkins (Kevin), sisters-in-law, Margaret Olson and Jean Ditta, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Terry was a true southern gentleman that enjoyed serving the Lord and participating in activities with his family. In his early years he worked with his father in his tree surgeon business, & he also harvested pecans in Mississippi. Working alongside his dad, he developed a very strong work ethic. Terry was extremely self-sacrificing and never acted inconvenienced when someone requested his help. In his retirement years he & Julie enjoyed attending sports & other functions with their grandchildren, going on family vacations, as well as working together in their handmade ornament business. They often traveled around the area to sell their ornaments. We fondly remember Terry. He certainly will be greatly missed.
