Robert W. “Bob” Bryan passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, April 24th under the care of Hospice at Heartland Healthcare in Greenville, SC. He was born on January 9, 1948 and loved by his parents, the late Goode and Mary Bryan. Native Greenvillian, Bob graduated from Wade Hampton High School and studied for two years at Truett McConnell College. In 1988, he traveled to Manilla, Philippines where he met and fell in love with Grace Brillantes. They were wed on July 29, 1988. Bob, a member of Morningside Baptist Church, is survived by his wife Grace Bryan; his sister Catherine Smith and two nieces Mary Catherine Nett and Pam Cannon; his sister-in-law Wilita Cummings, brother-in-law Jeffrey Cummings, and two nieces Kate and Kaela Cummings; and sister-in-law Erica Torio, brother-in-law Eric Torio, and two nephews Ethan and Elijah Torio. When he was able, Bob made daily calls to check in with family to make sure everyone was okay. Family was first, but there had to be time for Clemson football! Avid Clemson fan, Bob’s sense of humor will be missed by his friends and family.
