Ralph S. Keen, III, 64, of West Hartford, Connecticut, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022. A native of Mountain Home, Idaho, he was the son of Ralph Keen, Jr. and the late Louise May Wittenmyer Keen.
Above all things, he was a man of God and loved Him with all his heart. Although he obtained his law degree from Northern Illinois University, he held his undergraduate Alma Mater, Bob Jones University, close to his heart. He used his knowledge of the law to minister to and serve those that needed him. For 38 years he practiced law, 26 of those with his law partner and dear friend, Scott H. Matney at Keen & Matney in Farmington, CT. While living in Connecticut, he was a member of Colchester Bible Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Adult Sunday School Teacher. Ralph was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, and camping. His love of history and adventurous spirit took his family on travels around the globe, including many scuba diving trips with his daughter, Meredith. Ralph loved his dogs, photography, and gardening. He took an active interest in Republican politics, the Middle East and its role in Biblical prophecy, and homeschooling his children.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Branning Keen; father, Ralph (Doris) Keen, Jr.; children, Meredith Elise Keen and Carson Zachary Keen, and siblings, Cindy (Ed) Hansberry, Susan (Randy) Martinez, and Ginger (David) Dorr.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 21st at Colchester Bible Baptist Church, 38 Chestnut Hill Rd, Colchester CT 06415.
