It is with great sadness that I inform all of our family and friends of the death of our youngest son, Justin Barrett Lamb, of Greenville, SC. He was 41 years old and passed away December 30, 2016 from a massive heart attack.
Justin came into this world on June 25, 1975 at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville. The proud parents were Dennis and Sandra Lamb of 506 Spring Forest Road in Greenville. He was a wonderful infant, devilish toddler, daring child, terrible teen, and grew into one of the most giving and witty adults. Justin found great pleasure and was very good about listening to and helping any of his friends that were sad or having problems. . He was, without doubt, one of the best and proudest fathers to his young daughters, Crosland and Barrett.
Justin went to Eastside High School, attended Clemson University, and graduated from The College of Charleston with Bachelor of Arts degree. Justin worked in telecommunications, account management, real estate, stock brokerage, and insurance in Greenville, SC and Spartanburg, SC.
Justin had many wonderful friends from Greenville, Spartanburg, Columbia, and Charleston. His fun loving and outgoing nature coupled with a wonderful smile, dimples, and huge bear hug, endeared him to many.
His interests were BMX bicycle racing (raced on national circuit with the National Bicycle League), biking, going to our place at Lake Hartwell, being with friends, but mostly, loving and caring for his two beautiful daughters. He had a profound love for music, especially from the group Widespread Panic and all of the Great People of the Panic world. He enjoyed going the various Panic concerts across the country and shared his love of the music with his many wonderful WSP friends.
Justin is survived by his two daughters, Beverly Crosland Lamb, age 10 and Lillian Barrett Lamb, age 8, both of Columbia, SC. His mother, Sandra Perkins Lamb and father, Dennis Clarke Lamb, of Greenville, SC., his half sister, Shannon Lamb Burton (Stuart) and half brother, Patrick Scott Lamb (Teresa) of Augusta, Ga. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Raymond Francis Perkins and grandmother, Lillian Landrum Perkins of Charleston, SC, and by his paternal grandfather, Julian King Lamb, Sr. and grandmother, Margery Clarke Lamb of Salisbury, NC. and several aunts, uncles and many cousins.
A memorial celebration of Justin’s life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 200 West Washington St., Greenville, SC on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. conducted by the Reverend Phillip Hargrove.
