John Wayne Wirth

John Wayne Wirth, affectionately known as John, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2023, in his hometown of Clinton, SC. Born on February 7, 1956, to the late Herman and Lorene Wirth, John was a loving, friendly, and gentle soul who touched the lives of many.

John was a proud graduate of Turkey Run High School, class of 1974. His education laid a solid foundation for his life, and he carried the lessons learned there throughout his journey. He was a man of many talents and interests, always eager to learn and grow. His friendly demeanor and gentle spirit made him a beloved figure in his community.

John was a devoted family man, survived by his daughters, Kristy Whalen of Clinton, SC, and Amber Wirth (Chris) of Davidson, NC. He was a loving father-in-law to Keith Kempster of Laurens, SC. His love and legacy will continue to live on through his grandchildren, Laura, Kristina, and Damon Kempster of Laurens, SC. He is also survived by his brother, David (Irene) Wirth of Bloomingdale, IN, and was predeceased by his brother, Robert Earl Wirth. John was a cherished uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, and a doting grandfather to eight grandchildren.

John was an active member of the Lakeside Country Club, where he enjoyed spending his leisure time. His love for the outdoors and camaraderie was evident in his involvement with the club. He was a familiar face at the club, always ready with a friendly smile and a kind word.

John's life was a testament to his loving, friendly, and gentle nature. He was a beacon of positivity, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his memory will continue to inspire and uplift.
