James Ralph Pinsonneault

November 26, 1951 — March 18, 2023

James Ralph Pinsonneault was born November 26, 1951, in Watertown, a son of Ralph and Dorothy (Countryman) Pinsonneault.
Jim is survived by his son James, daughter Renée, brothers John (Sandie), and Alan (Kathy), his wife Lee, her four children Richard, Joshua, Charlena, Wendy, their spouses and grandchildren Natasha, Damon, Samantha, James, Gage, Leo. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister ‘sees’ Sharon Mee.
Jim graduated from Watertown High School in 1969. After high school, he joined the Air Force and was honorably discharged after injury. He went to Canton College, and later in life was a returning student at Jefferson Community College where he was on the President’s list.
It was at Canton College where he met his first wife Darlene. They had two children, James and Renée.
Since childhood, Jim camped with family at his beloved Fish Creek Ponds in the majestic Adirondacks. He enjoyed camping, boating, and motorcycling with his brothers John and Al. Growing up in Watertown he played hockey with his brothers and friends and enjoyed winter sports. Jim and his brother John would strap on skis and make their way to Thompson Park to ski down Kite Hill. He was a member of the ski patrol at Dry Hill and the Watertown Elks Club.
He loved to laugh and was good at finding humor in the everyday. We will miss his wit. He was a NY Giants and Mopar loyalist to the end. He loved The Beatles. He enjoyed bowling, woodworking, crosswords, Tetris and Wednesday night dinner dates with his son James.
He worked at the NY Air Brake, Von Schweikert Audio - where he met his wife Lee, and SKF Balls as an inspector – he liked to joke about this occupation.
Jim and Lee were married 23 years and he loved her family and their children like his own. They spent 17 years full of laughter and love in Litchfield County, CT before moving to Greenville, SC in 2017 to be near family. Lee and Jim were members of the Welcome Baptist Church in Greenville.
He passed away peacefully on March 18, 2023. Jim heard the whistle that it was time to come home.
His family wants to thank the Bon Secours nurses who gave him compassionate care in his last days. There will be no services.
