Jackie Mae Cole-Gagner

Jackie Mae Cole-Gagner, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2023, in Greenville, SC. Born on July 11, 1947, Jackie was a caring and kind-hearted woman who never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Jackie was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Gagner; her parents, Jack Ferguson (Chris) and Dorothy Johnson (John); one son, Kevin Cole; one grandson, K.C. Cole and great aunt, Jeanette Burchette. She is survived by her daughter, Colleen Custer (Daniel) of Easley; her son, Chris Cole (Cassie) of Woodruff; her sister, Pam Horton (Fuller) of Greenville; and her sister, Cindy Volzka (Keith) of Greenville. Jackie is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Becky Holloway, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews, as well as several adopted children.

Jackie's love for her family was evident in her passion for cooking, often preparing meals for family gatherings and events. She enjoyed sharing her culinary talents with her loved ones, and her delicious dishes were always a highlight at any gathering. Jackie's home was a welcoming place, filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of her famous recipes.

A lifelong member of Grace Baptist Church on Virginia Ave in Greenville, SC, Jackie's faith was at the core of her being. She was an active participant in her church community and could often be found volunteering her time and energy to various activities, such as Vacation Bible School. Jackie's dedication to her faith and her church family was an inspiration to those who knew her.

Jackie had a deep love for the beach and cherished the times she spent there with her friends and family. Her laughter and warm presence brought joy to everyone who had the pleasure of sharing those moments with her. Jackie's zest for life and love for adventure was infectious, and she had a unique ability to make each person she encountered feel special and valued.

In addition to her love for the beach, Jackie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Her kind and friendly nature made her a beloved member of her community, and she was always eager to lend a hand or offer a listening ear to those in need.
