Hollis Berry, 72, of Pickens, South Carolina, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at his residence. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee on November 20, 1944, he served in Country honorably in the United States Air Force for 20 years. Following his military service he then went to work as a Soil Conservationist for the United States Government and he later retired. He will be remembered as a good man, he enjoyed attending car shows, going boating, fishing and camping. He enjoyed working in his yard and driving his corvette.
Hollis is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Maxine Berry. Those who will most treasure his memory are his wife of 28 years, Aurelia Ann Berry of Pickens, South Carolina; his daughters, Karen Welch and her husband, Nicky of Tennessee and Barbara Domen and husband, Bruce of Florida; his sister, Ramona Kelly of Webster, Massachusetts; his uncle, George Berry of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Klarissa, Brandon, Hollis, Chris, Dustin and Brenna; his mother in law, Ann Pritchard Brown of Manning, South Carolina. Hollis is also survived by members of his extended family.
Graveside services and military honors will be July 14th 2017 at 3 pm at M.J Dolly Cooper Cemetery in Anderson, South Carolina.
